1st place at 132lbs Justin Seim (Hackley) dec. Jason Cuadrado (Martin Luther HS) 16-1;

1st place at 182lbs Will Johnson (Hackley) dec. John Maguire (Horace Mann) 7-2.

*Justin Seim won his fifth straight State title and was voted Champion of Champions Award.

Justin's season record 35-2, Career record 135-17.

Basketball

The U. of Vermont Catamounts topped the hosting Black Bears of Maine on the 6th, as starting guard Sandro Carissimo (Iona Prep '10), a Sleepy Hollow resident, scored 6 points on 3-10 from the floor, plus having 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and a game high of 5 steals on the night.

With Stony Brook as the home opposition on the 12th, their 68-49 win broke the Seahawks' 8-game winning streak. In the game Carissimo scored 4 points on 2-5 in basket attempts, and he had 1 rebound and 4 assists in the game. The team record is now 17-8:12-2.
