Severe Thunderstorm Warning in Effect for Lower Hudson Valley Friday

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Westchester, Rockland and Putnam counties.

The warning will last until 5:15 p.m.

At 4:14 p.m. severe thunderstorms were in New Jersey and were moving northeast at 30 mph.

There could be 60 mph wind gusts resulting in damage to roofs, siding and trees.

The NWS estimates the storm reaching Nanuet around 4:30 p.m.
