Sleepy Hollow Firefighters Douse Apartment Blaze

Sleepy Hollow firefighters, aided by departments from Tarrytown, Ossining and Briarcliff Manor, among others, battled an apartment fire on College Avenue Tuesday afternoon, according to Westchester Fire Wire.

The fire was contained to a ninth-floor unit in the 11-story building. Heavy smoke was reported from the unit, which contributed to a firefighter and police officer reportedly needing treatment for smoke inhalation, writes The Journal News.

No other injuries were reported.
