2009 Red Fury

The girls 2009 Red Fury opened their first game competing at the club level defeating Rye Brook Galaxy 5-0 at Rye Brook. Coach Katie McMahon's rookie players came out strong with impressive goals from Breanne Rodriguez and Rachel Richard in the first half and Meghan McMahon with three goals in the second half. The Red Fury next see action against Rye Brook Rockets at Losee Park at 2:45pm on Sunday.
2008 Red Comets

The Red Comets coasted to a 5-0 win over the Manhattan Phoenix. The Phoenix, a new team to WYSL was over matched by the Red Comets who quickly scored 5 goals in the first 15 minutes and then coasted the rest of the game to an easy first week win. Next week the Red Comets travel to Portchester to face what Coach Armster and Block presume will be a more formidable opponent.
2008 Fusion
SHFC Boys 2008 Fusion defeated Chappaqua Tigers in 2-0 in their home opener. Ian Papadopoulos put away the game winning goal in minute 10 on a well-timed assist by Pierce Davis. A second half goal by Raul Socualaya on an assist by Kieran Degen sealed the victory, while the defense kept a clean sheet for team Fusion. Fusion is a new team for 2017, created from previous and new club players and is coached by George Papadopoulos.
2008 River Sharks
On Sunday the River Sharks traveled to Mount Pleasant to take on the Mayhem. The season started on a positive note for the River Sharks with a hard fought 3-1 win. The foundation of this win was in the defense of Luca Dominguez and Henry Warden and the goalkeeping of Josh Ortiz (first half) and Alesandro Soto (second half). The River Sharks went in halftime leading 2-0 with both goals scored by Jayden Perez, the first assisted by Luca Dominguez and the second by Abraham Achkar. Midway through second half after much pressure and support running by Keaton Greenberg, Eoghan Glynn, Dhary Suqui and Sean Mackiewicz, the third goal came for the River Sharks scored by Abraham Achkar. Although the Mayhem pulled one back inside of the final 10 minutes, further attempts to reduce the lead were repelled by the work in midfield of Jack Uyaguari and Gilbert Onwe. As a result, the River Sharks started the Fall season with a victory.
2007 Girls Blaze
The Blaze coached by John Sutherland, Annette O’Hanlon and Chris Junge moved up to Divisiion 1 after a strong Spring Season. The girls came out strong, opening the Fall season with a solid 2 – 0 win against the Eastchester Red Dragons. The Blaze travel to Manhattan in Week 2 to take on the West Side Red Bulls.
2006 Girls Storm
The Storm defeated the Rye Brook Surge 6-5 in an exciting high scoring match to open the season. Although the Storm never trailed, they were unable to pull away from a feisty Rye Brook team.
Emily Orellana led the Storm with three goals and an assist off a corner kick. Sadie Diaz scored her first WYSL goal on that corner kick when she charged the back post. Ashley Richardson and Anastasia Mazon both scored off rebounds - hustle plays that overwhelmed the Rye Brook goalie. Mazon also played a great goalie in the 1st Half, limiting Rye Brook to one goal on over ten shots.
The Storm heads to Mahopac next weekend.
2006 Boys Firebolts
The Firebolts, coached by Ricardo Gonzalez, started off the season by defeating Rye Sonics 2-0. In a balanced and well fought first half with most of the plays in midfield, Brandon Arevalo scored with a long shot from outside the box off a corner kick. In the second half Firebolts pressured the opposing team onto their half of the field and after a few missed goal opportunities, Ollie Gonzalez scored in a break away after a beautiful assist by Alex Lozada. The kids played very well and are looking forward to new challenges. Firebolts next see action against the Mt Pleasant Red Wave at Hackley School at 1:45pm on Sunday.
2005 Cyclones
The Rivertown United Cyclones were moved up division 1 and played a very strong and physical LMFC Gold Waves team. LMFC defeated Rivertown 4-0. Next game against Pleasantville Warriors on Sunday the 17th.
2005 Legends
The Legends played their first 11 a side game away to Eastchester on Sunday. It was an entertaining game against strong opposition and despite excellent keeping from Luke and Kenneth and great energy on a hot afternoon, the Legends went down 3-1. Lots of good coaching opportunities for the week ahead!
2005 Red Devils
The Red Devils Coached by Francisco Mendieta, Mark Taylor and Cedric Smith won their first game of the season 3-0 at home against the Edgemont Rovers. The Red Devils showed very strong defense with goalie Cooper Taylor and teammates Juan Rojas, Jack Guzhnay, Christian Morocho and Geancarlo Barzallo, with a very good mid-field - Justin Robles, Christhopher Panjon, Marco Contreras or Brandon Mejia. The offence was led by Aiden Smith, Campbell Greenberg and Frank Mendieta.
1st goal - Christopher Panjon, 2nd goal - Marco Contreras, 3rd goal - Frank Mendieta
2003 Girls Strikers
The Strikers lost their first game of the season 2-1 to Pelham. They look to bounce back Sunday 9/17 at home against the Mahopac Force Washington Irving Lower field @ 12:00.
2002 Girls Mustangs
The girls 2002 Mustangs opened Junior Varsity play defeating Rye 2-0 at Rye High School. Coach John Sutherland's young ladies displayed little rust as Talia Fante scored first off an assist from Lily Rodriguez. Sophie Sylves-Berry finished scoring off a corner kick from Britany Alban. Most Mustang girls are playing soccer 5 days a week for their school but have made the time to compete at the club level as well. The Mustangs next see action against Mahopac at Washington Irving field at 10 am on Sunday.
