Sleepy Hollow Football Club Tryouts To Be Held April 28

The annual competitive tryouts for Sleepy Hollow Football Club will be held on April 28 between 8am – 5:30pm across Washington Irving Field and Lakes Field. Tryout times are broken down by the year of the player’s birth.

All players, even those already on a SHFC team, must attend a tryout date. Acceptance to a previous team is not guaranteed, as team formation may change from year to year, depending on player strength or coaching availability. Tentative makeups are May 5th, times/locations will be posted as required.

At Washington Irving Turf Field, the 2005 Boys will try out from 8-10 am. The 2007 boys and girls will try out from 10-11:30am. The 2003 and 2004 Girls will try out from 11:30am – 1pm. Boys and girls born in 2010 will try out from 1-2:30pm. Boys and girls born in 2009 will try out from 2:30-4pm and 2008 boys and girls will try out from 4-5:30.

At Lakes Field, 2006 boys will try out from 8:30-10am. Girls born in 2005 and 2006 will try out from 10-11:30am. Boys born in 2003, forming the JV team, will try out from 1-2:30, as will boys born in 2004. Girls born in 2001 and 2002 who are interested in trying out are asked to contact mweitzen@hotmail.com. All players trying out are asked to arrive early in order to complete registration and to be prepared with proper soccer cleats and shin guards, no jewelry/watches allowed.
