2009 Girls Red Fury Red Fury coached by Katie McMahon won this week against the LMFC White Rockets with a score of 3-2. After being down 1-0 in the first half, Meghan McMahon was able to take a powerful shot on goal and score. Maiyumi Marcus-Kanesaka started the second half with a second unassisted goal for the Red Fury followed by a third goal by Erin Arnegger. Great defense by Maeve Yox and Breanne Rodriguez allowed the team to stay on top regardless of a second goal against them. Goalies Rachel Richardson and Sirat Sanyal played solid games. The Red Fury will play the Scarsdale Lazio away next week.
2008 Girls Red Comets coached by Joe Block hosted the Greenburgh United Earthquake. The score is not available.

2008 Boys Fusion returned to form in a 5-1 win against the Riverdale Thunder. Jezrael Panama’s breakaway in the opening minutes assisted Sean Mackiewicz, who launched a rocket from the right into the upper left corner of the goal and from there Fusion never looked back. A well-timed set of passes from Mackiewicz to Panama to Jack Zhunio resulted in a well-placed second goal. Zhunio would score again just before halftime, knocking in his own rebound from a corner kick.
Dylan Largo again served well in goal for the entire game, allowing only one score by the Thunder, at the opening of half two, when Fusion’s defense was caught at a standstill. Largo fended off a flurry of late-game kicks with aggressive tending and clears of the ball near the net.

Aiden Lee, Dylan Pasato, Justin Paute, Kieran Degen and Julian Patino contributed strongly in the midfield, providing both offensive and defensive support. Fusion scored again, this time from Ian Papadopoulos, on an assist from Edwin Dutan. The game’s final score came when Raul Socualaya passed to Mackiewicz along the right wing, making it 5-1.
Coaches Papadopoulos and Mackiewicz have been pleased with the team's progress over the past few weeks. Fusion hopes to improve upon its win streak and 2-2 record next week when the team travels to New Rochelle.
2008 Boys River Sharks coached by Ed Greenberg hosted the Somers Crusaders. The score is not available.
2007 Girls Blaze played the Castleford Lions on Sunday at home. It was an aggressive and fast paced game and we saw some of the best Blaze teamwork to date. Castleford scored for a 1-0 lead early in the first half. The passing game continues to impress and Zoey Murphy scored with a beautiful assist from Gemma Fante. It was tied 1-1 at the half.
Coaches John Sutherland and Chris Junge have been stressing flexibility and adaptability of the team as they work on different positions and ensuring that the midfielders are covering forward and back. The final goal was well executed with a strong pass from Julissa Casiano to Gemma Fante to Zoey Murphy for the goal.
Back in playing form, we had Emily Aridas back in goal this week. She performed beautifully and held the Cosmos to only one successful goal. Blaze finished with a 2-1 win bringing their record to 3-1-1 as they head in to the second half of the season. Next up the Blaze meet the Somers Cosmos on Sunday, for their second match up this season.
2007 Boys Dynamo coached by Howard Allen fell to Scarsdale Lille 7-2.
2007 Boys Dutchmen coached by Gary Fairley hosted and defeated the Eastchester Titans 7-1. The Dutchmen currently sit atop their division.

2005 Girls Cyclones coached by Mike Levine defeated the Eastchester Thunderbolts 3-0.
U13B Boys Legends had a fine away win at Castleford on Sunday. Brian Jarama was outstanding as part of a defensive quartet, backed up by excellent keeping from Luke Clarke that kept Castleford scoreless until a last minute converted penalty. The Legends scored three, a Nikhil breakaway off a looooong pass from Robert Disney, and two shots from the edge of the area from Hernan Quinde and Tito Molina after some excellent wide play. Legends are joint top at the halfway mark and play co-leaders next week!
2005 Boys Red Devils coached by Francisco Mendieta lost away at the Harrison Revolution 4-1.
2003 Girls Strikers coached by Matt Evans hosted the Pelham Flames, losing 3-0.
2004 Boys River Titans won against the Rye Royals 1-0 at home.
2004 Boys Argentina coached by Luis Lewis bested the Chappaqua Hotspur 6-0 at home. They are in a 3-way tie for first place of the division.
JV Boys Los Gauchos coached by Luis Lewis tied the Harrison Fire 2-2.
The JV Mustangs were unable to overcome the absence of four key players and fell 2-3 to Rye. The Girls started the first half with strong effort but weren’t disciplined and allowed Rye two scores before the half. In the second period the Mustangs were determined to make a game of it with improved execution and a will to compete. Britany Alban scored first with a rocket shot from 25 yards out that almost broke the net. Grace Ryan then tied the game with a beautiful header off a well placed corner kick from Britany. The Mustangs pushed hard to win and had several opportunities with near misses. Late in the game Rye was awarded a direct kick from 18 yards out on a questionable elbow to the back call. While the Mustangs were setting up their wall, Rye fired a perfect shot over the keeper’s hands to get the win. The Mustangs have now fallen to third place and will have to face top rated North Salem next week.
Varsity Girls Comets coached by Sean Brosnan lost to the Shrub Oak United 1-0.
