Sleepy Hollow Grapplers Best Mamaroneck

The Sleepy Hollow Horsemen wrestling team beat Mamaroneck High School 60-15 last night at Mamaroneck's Palmer gym.

"We didn't do a great job tonight," said Tigers head coach Anthony Vitti about his team's overall performance of only three victories in their first match after the winter break.

The Horsemen started the match in the right way, winning the first seven matches to get out to an insurmountable lead. Sleepy Hollow notched 37 points before Mamaroneck tallied three points en route to their 15 for the match.

Horsemen Christopher Lopez, in his first match back since injuring his shoulder, had no problem defeating his opponent.

The Horsemen's next match is on Monday, January 11. They are wrestling long-time rival Ossining High School.
