Sleepy Hollow Woman, California Man Arrested on Drug Charges
They were stopped while driving in Orange County
State police arrested a couple in Orange County Sunday and charged them with allegedly possessing pot.
Melvin Dempsey, 32, of Vallejo, CA, and Jacqueline Taveras, 32, of Sleepy Hollow were charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana.
Troopers stopped Taveras on Route 17 in the Town of Tuxedo for vehicle and traffic violations.

Police said they found more than 1 pound of marijuana inside the car she was driving.
Dempsey was also charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, because police allegedly found a switchblade knife on him.

The pair were arraigned in the Town of Tuxedo Court and sent to Orange County Jail on bail.
