Sleepy Hollow's Greg Lobato Continues Effort to Join Local Police Force

Lobato has been denied a position twice by the Board of Trustees.

Retired Marine Corps Capt. Greg Lobato recently received a new canvassing letter from the Village of Sleepy Hollow to gauge his interest in joining the local police department, and the combat veteran is hoping the third time is the charm.

Lobato has been denied the position twice before, and according to The Journal News, he is not certain whether this time will be any different.

“I think that the village might be reconsidering at this point and may want to talk to me again, and they might just be following procedure,” Lobato told The Journal News. “That’s my community. I’d like to give back to my community and serve the people that have been a part of my life.”

Lobato is the brother of Trustee and Deputy Mayor Jennifer Lobato-Church, who abstained from the two votes where her brother was denied the position.
