The girls basketball squad according to MSG Varsity's bracketology would be tied for the No. 5 seed in the Section 1 Class A playoffs if they started today.

Sleepy Hollow finished the regular season with a 14-4 record.

Sleepy Hollow's boys basketball squad, 6-12, is also projected to reach the Section 1 Class A tourney as MSG Varsity projects it to be the No. 23 seed.

In his banner game of the year thus far, Tarrytown resident Parris Purcelle (Irv. '11) came off the bench and played 32 minutes of outstanding basketball on the 4th, as his Buffalo Bengals outlasted the Potsdam Bears, 88-79. He scored a 2nd high total of 20 points, on 7-18, 4-8, and 2-3, plus having 7 rebounds and 2 steals in the game. The team record is now 17-4.
