'Solarize Westchester' Hosts Tarrytown Workshop Jan. 10

The event will be held at the Warner Library.

Solarize Westchester will host a workshop in Tarrytown on Sunday, Jan. 10, at the Warner Library, officials announced.

The free event will be held at 1:30 p.m. and refreshments will be served.

“Solar Panels: It’s a No-Brainer,” officials wrote in a statement. “See how they’re working for Tarrytown and how they can work for you!”

The Solarize Tarrytown initiative is a “unique discount buying program that uses a tiered-pricing structure, town-supported education and outreach and one competitively selected installer to dramatically reduce the cost of solar.”

To participate in the program, a homeowner must sign a contract for solar installation by February 29 of this year.
