Stallings Earns Record: Tarrytown-Sleepy Hollow Daily Sports Digest, May 7

On Tuesday, May 1st, the boys’ track team competed against Eastchester and Mamaroneck. Will Stallings had a great day, running 22.8 in the 200m which is a sophomore record!

David Maldonado led the distance runners. He ran 5:08 in the mile and 2:21 in the 800. Mike Valentin showed some heart by running 57.0 in the 400m.

JV Softball

The JV Softball team brought home their third win of the season against Hastings on May 1st. Stellar pitching from Sarah McCarthy held Hastings to only four runs, while Hollow picked up 19 in the win.

Christine Griege and Vanessa Perez each scored 4 runs. Their next home game is on Thursday, May 10 against Ossining.

Modified Boys Lax

On Thursday, May 3rd Horsemen lacrosse traveled to Scarsdale again. This time our boys come home with a victory. Mathew Briante and Ben McCoy recorded their first starts at their respective positions.

The goalie play was fantastic as usual with few shots taken by Scarsdale’s attack and Dimitre Ridley collecting 6 more saves. The offense was led by Harry Bogusz with four goals. Other contributors were Isaac Newland, Kasper Endreny, and Jack Weitsner.

The visiting Horsemen controlled most of the game and came away with a 8-3 victory. They improved to 4-2 and play at home against Mamaroneck on Tuesday, May 8th. Come and support.
