Student Inside Albany: Edwin Lopez
Lopez, a Sleepy Hollow High School senior, got an inside look at state government recently.
Edwin Lopez, a current senior at Sleepy Hollow High School, attended a trip to Albany to experience Students Inside Albany on April 14-17. The Rivertowns League of Women Voters sponsored the four day trip, and we are especially grateful to Susan Goodwin, a local Tarrytown resident, who helped to coordinate the event. This was an extremely positive and enriching experience for Edwin, who commented on how much he learned from the experience. Edwin had the opportunity to tour the state capitol building, shadow a senator for a day, and learn about all of the functions of state and local government.
