take survey: your experiences on the Mario Cuomo shared path

The path is narrow. cyclists and pedestrians in close proximity . Should there be designated hours? Bicyclists only, pedestrians only?

please respond to survey Mario Cuomo bridge- shared bike/pedestrian pathway---should cyclists and pedestrians be given separate times to enjoy experience? The new walkway on the Mario Cuomo bridge provides cyclists and pedestrians with the opportunity to cross the Hudson. It's designed to be used at the same time by cyclists and pedestrians. Great views. Beautiful bridge. Excellent recreation opportunity. However, the bridge is only 12 feet wide. Bicyclists and pedestrians, each moving east and west at the same time, are always in close proximity. Should the Thruway Authority create separate use times during part of each day for cyclists and pedestrians only? A recommendation I received (after the survey) would be for the state to widen the path with barriers separating the cyclists from pedestrians. Please share your thoughts by responding to survey. You can also e mail me at pfeiner@greenburghny.com with your experiences.
