Tarrytown-Raised David Bromberg To Perform at Tarrytown Music Hall

An evening of acoustic and roots music has been scheduled for Saturday April 18, 2015 at the Tarrytown Music Hall for the duos of David Bromberg with Larry Campbell and Bela Fleck with Abigail Washburn. Tickets go on sale to the public on December 19, 2014 beginning at noon.

Guitarist Bromberg, who grew up in Tarrytown, is widely known for paying tribute to folk and blues traditions. He is joined by instrumentalist Larry Campbell.

Bromberg, after majoring in music at Columbia University, began his career in clubs and Greenwich Village coffeehouses, and went on to make hundreds of records with Bob Dylan, The Eagles, Ringo Starr, George Harrison, Willie Nelson, Carly Simon, The Grateful Dead and other leading artists.

He teamed up in 2013 with his old friend Campbell, an instrumentalist, Grammy-winning producer, and recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Music Association. Campbell has recorded with Bob Dylan, Levon Helm, Judy Collins, Sheryl Crow, B. B. King, Willie Nelson and The Black Crowes.

Singer/songwriter Bela Fleck and Abigial Washburn are a husband-and-wife banjo team. Washburn, an instrumentalist and composer with bluegrass roots, has won fifteen Grammy awards.
