Tarrytown Schedules Public Hearing to Discuss Energy Program

Greenburgh and other communities are launching similar efforts.

The Tarrytown Village Board will hold a public hearing Sept. 8 to discuss the possibility of the community launching a “Community Choice Aggregation (Energy) Program” to help lower energy costs throughout the village.

Greenburgh and other municipalities are launching similar efforts in connection with Sustainable Westchester, in which a community essentially buys energy in bulk for residents and businesses to help keep costs down.

The public hearing is scheduled for 8 p.m. in Village Municipal Building, One Depot Plaza in Tarrytown.
