Tarrytown School District Names New Interim Superintendent
Daniel McCann will replace Christopher Clouet, who is resigning effective June 30.

The School District of the Tarrytowns Thursday named Dr. Daniel McCann the system’s new superintendent, replacing Dr. Christopher Clouet, officials announced.
Clouet is resigning, effective June 30, and McCann will formally take over on July 1. In a recent letter to parents and staff, Clouet explained that his decision to resign grew out of a desire to return home.
“After having been considered for the Commissioner of Education in Connecticut position, which put me in contact with many old friends and colleagues, my wife and I decided we wanted to return to our home state to finish our careers there,” he wrote. Clouet leaves the post with two years remaining on what was originally a four-year contract.
