Lockout Over For Tarrytown Schools, District Office: UPDATE

TARRYTOWN, NY — Around 11:30 a.m. Thursday, the Tarrytown school district said the police have informed them that they will be conducting a follow-up investigation and that there is no threat in the area.

As a result, the district has ended the lockout and returned to normal activities.

TARRYTOWN, NY — A robbery in the the Village of Tarrytown has prompted the school district to place all schools and the district office on lockout. A post on Facebook said the district had been just informed about the robbery.

"In this safety protocol, all activities within the school remain as normal but no outside activities will occur," the post said.

The district will provide an update when police give it additional information.
