Good afternoon to all,
Find out what's happening in Tarrytown-Sleepy Hollowfor free with the latest updates from Patch.
Hope this email finds your well...for those that I haven't seen/spoken to in a long time, hope everything is fine, and for those that I see on a daily/weekly basis, whats up...I am sending this email to inform you all that the 2nd Annual Sleepy Hollow Lacrosse Alumni Game is official, and here is the exact information:
Date: Saturday, June 2nd, 2012 (rain date will be Sunday, June 3rd, 2012 at 2:00pm)
Location:
Time: 2:00pm
We are looking into having 1 or 2 youth games before our alumni game.
For those that are serious/interested in participating, I ask that you donate $40 per person (includes t-shirt) that will go towards the lacrosse program at Sleepy Hollow. As we all know, budgets aren’t helping out the lacrosse team, so $40 per person ( including t-shirt ) is a reasonable donation for us to give them, and hopefully you can make this alumni game and continue the trend year by year.
I will continue to do my part, all that I ask is that you do yours. Money will be received the day of the alumni game, if you commit, please make sure that you show up to the game, as I will be counting on you.
I have one or 2 surprises that I can’t share with you until the day of the alumni game, but I am sure that you will appreciate it.
I also ask you all to please forward this email to anyone that is Sleepy Hollow Lacrosse Alumni that you know would be interested in participating in the game. I am trying to get as many players as possible, individuals from all decades, I am sure that the stories will be great...the more, the merrier.
If you want to participate, please email me: ruigir@gmail.com and confirm you playing in the game and $40 donation towards the lax program.
If anyone has any connections of someone that is willing to donate funds towards the purchase of Sleepy Hollow Lacrosse Alumni T-Shirts, that would be awesome.
Also, please I am asking you to send this email to parents, family members, ppl that you know would love to come out and just watch the alumni game...its going to be a great day, and would love to have as many ppl as possible.
Thank you ahead of time, please remember to forward this email, reach out to your friends, get them to participate and lets make this 2nd alumni game better than the 1st one, which I thought was a great time had by all.
Any questions and/or concerns, please feel free to contact me via cell/text 914-755-4825.
-- Rui Girao
P.S. Coach DiVico can't wait to see you all, as he is really looking forward towards this date where he gets most of the kids thats he’s coached on the same field at the same time...remember he has been involved with the program since I think 1981 (give or take a year).
Last Year's Game
Patch was at last year's Sleepy Hollow boys lacrosse alumni game. See Zach Smart's informative story on last year's game, with Joe Golden's as always terrific pictures

Weekly Sports Poll
This was created by our own :
Major League Baseball lost a great earlier this month, former Met and Expo Gary Carter.
Eleven years after he retired, Carter was elected into the baseball Hall of Fame and many consider him one of the best catchers of all time.
But where do you think “Kid” ranks among the best New York back stops of all time?
No games scheduled.
