Coach Stanek and the wrestling team traveled down to NYC to compete in the Ivy Championships and the team did not disappoint. We had wrestlers place in the top three in 11 of 15 weight classes with 2 others placing 4th, an outstanding accomplishment.

1st place 220lbs Xavier Carmona*
Justin received MOW (Most Outstanding Wrestler) of the Tournament and his fourth Ivy League title.
2nd place finishes

160lbs Damis Yancopoulos
195lbs Rodrigo Mejias
285lbs Ben Jurcic
3rd place finishes
106lbs Mike Tarantino

Fencing
Fencing also had their individual championships this weekend. John DiLorenzo won the Boys Epee Individual Title with Silver medals being won by Julia Sheng, Girls Foil; Christina Meyer, Girls Epee and Phil Yoo, Boys Sabre.
Bronze Medals were won by Caroline Granoff, Girls Sabre and Nick Hallock, Boys Epee. Josh Pedowitz, Boys Epee and Angelina Xing, Girls Epee also medaled in this very competitive event. Congratulations to Coach Marks, Gall and Block and the team for their outstanding performance and commitment.
Boys' Squash
Finally I would like to congratulate the Boys Squash team for winning Division III at the US Squash Nationals this past weekend. The boys had commanding performances throughout the tournament to bring home the Division III Championship.
Sam Ezratty, Will Walker, Seth Konner, Josh Konner, Ben Rosen, Daniel Hoffman, Shane Weisberg and Michael Leonard all played key roles in winning the Championship. Congratulations to the boys and Coach Nanda for getting them to see their full potential.
