Girls Sectional Hoops

No. 6 Sleepy Hollow's girls basketball squad played its first postseason game at the Westchester County Center in White Plains in recent memory, maybe ever, March 1 in the Section 1 Class A semifinals against No. 2 Tappan Zee.

Jamie Bucci was on fire for Sleepy Hollow, scoring a game-high 21 points, including five treys but it wasn't enough to overcame its Rockland County opponent, which beat the Headless Horsemen 83-45 according to LoHud.com.

Despite the loss, it was a season to remember for Sleepy Hollow, one that no one in this neck of the woods will ever forget.

State Track Meet

Sleepy Hollow's will compete in the state track championship meet Saturday, March 3 at Barton Hall at Cornell University in Ithaca. Opening ceremonies are scheduled to start at 8:45 a.m.

Athletes will arrive tonight for a warm-up between 6-8 p.m.

Swimming:

Addendum: In addition to finishing 2nd in the 200 Butterfly at the NESCAC Championship at Wesleyan, on Feb. 17th, Kathryn Ha (D.F-Hackley '09) was also 2nd in the 50 and 100 Butterfly races in the meet. Her time in the 50 was 25.47, while in the 100, it was 55.54. The team's record for the season was 8-0.
