Hackley’s Girls’ and Boys’ Épée teams won league championship titles this season, unifying both Épée championship cups at Hackley. In addition, both Épée teams placed 1st in the team tournament event, taking home gold medals, undefeated on the day.

Congratulations to Christina Meyer, Miyuki Sasada, Angelina Xing, Megan Retzloff, and Heather Vega on the girls’ team, and John DiLorenzo, Josh Pedowitz, Nick Hallock, Ryan Swei, Phil Brooks, and Akaash Kancharla on the boys’ team.
The Hackley Boys’ Sabre team -- Phil Yoo, Alex Dragone, Tim Steinberg, Robert Link, Wenkai Qin, Rafael Girardello, and Henry Brooks -- placed 2nd for silver. And, senior John DiLorenzo, who was overall champion at the recent Individual Tournament and led his squad to gold last Saturday, is also a gold medalist as the top individual season record holder in the League.

Lacrosse
Lamia Harik (Hackley '08), senior goal tender for Amherst's Lord Jeff's women's lacrosse team, in the first 3 games of her final season in the nets, started out with her 11 dropping the opening game on the 10th at Colby, 7-6, after which the women won the next 2, topping Bates on the 11th, 11-9, and and then their game with Bowdoin on the 17th, 8-5.
On the 20th, in a matchup with Buffalo State, she was in the nets all but the final 6 minutes, during which time she had 8 goals against and made 2 saves, in the 16-9 win. In the Florida finale at Clermont on the 22nd, Harik had 7 goals against and made 5 saves in the game with William Smith, with the team's record now 4-1.
