The Sleepy Hollow Legends 5th & 6th grade boys team traveled to Brewster H.S. on Sunday to take part in the annual Brewster Jamboree. With wins over Somers, Bronxville, Yorktown and Docs NYC, the boys completed a perfect 4 - 0 day, and ran their season record to 10 - 0.

Sleepy Track

Boys
On Monday, May 7th, the boys’ track team competed in the League 2C Championships. Sophomore standout, Will Stallings, smoked the field in the 200m dash in a time of 23.7. He was named All-League for his efforts. Mike Valentin placed 2nd in the long jump and received All-League Honorable Mention.
The boys’ 400m relay team consisting of Will Stallings, Mike Valentin, Darien James and John Lara-Mota, placed 2nd overall and also received All-League Honorable Mention. Our next meet is Staurday, May 12th, at Irvington HS. We will be competing in the Rasbeck Relays.
Girls
The girls’ track team shined at the League Meet yesterday, May 7th at Irvington. Congratulations to our all-league champions: Gillian Berger (LJ, TJ, 100m, 400 meter relay) Gabrielle Maldonado ( 200, 400, 400 meter relay) Grace Carr ( 400 meter relay) and Jessica Tucci (400 meter relay).
Congratulations to Daniella Carrissimo for all league honorable mention in the 100 High Hurdles and the 400 Intermediate Hurdles!! Great job to all of the Lady Horsemen! Come support the Lady Horsemen, this Saturday, May 12th at Irvington, for the Rasbeck Relays!!

Softball
Behind perfect pitching by their freshman hurler, the Quakers of Penn blanked Ivy rival Cornell on the 5th, 4-0, with Samantha Erosa (Hackley '09) batting 2-2, scoring a run, walking once, and having 1 putout at second base in the game. The win cinched the Southern Liberty League title for Penn, who will next face Harvard on the 11th, a team to which they had previously lost earlier in the season.
