Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow Farmers Market To Open 5th Season
This season there will be about 50 weekly and rotating vendors, featuring new items.

TARRYTOWN, NY — The Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow Farmers Market (TaSH) kicks off its fifth anniversary season Memorial Day weekend in Patriots Park with live music, fun and free activities for kids, new and returning vendors and a community bike swap. This year, TaSH returns with about 50 weekly and rotating vendors, featuring new items like vegan ice cream from New Confectioner, vegetarian snacks from Good Choice Kitchen, duck and rabbit from Sunset View Farm and craft beer from Sing Sing Kill Brewery.
Opening day is from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25.
Organizers said there will be more produce and flowers with Meadowland Farm returning as a weekly vendor for the full season, the addition of Cunningham Farm and Gardens and new flower offerings from Mobius Fields.

There will also be risotto balls from Lasagna Preziosa, gluten free granola from Sweethearth Bakeshop and a variety of sauerkrauts from DACHA Live Cultured Veggies. A full list of this season's vendors can be found at TaSH's website.
TaSH will kick off the season with its annual opening day celebrations and include a variety of programs for adults and kids alike. Bike Tarrytown will host a Bike Swap where families can bring bikes they’ve outgrown and swap them for bigger ones. TaSH will also be bringing back its popular “What’s in Season” experiential booth, where kids can taste, see and discover peak produce.

TaSH's customer loyalty program returns this year with special fifth anniversary bonus rewards. Shoppers can sign up at the TaSH tent beginning on opening day. After the successful launch of TaSH Cash last season, shoppers who forget their cash will once again be able to swipe their debit cards at the TaSH tent for purple tokens all vendors accept.
The market will continue to offer a variety of food assistance programs including its SNAP “Double Bucks” program, the only farmers market initiative in Westchester to double SNAP (food stamps) benefits up to $40. WIC coupons that support new mothers and senior farmers market coupons that support low-income seniors are also accepted. Veterans are also able to obtain FreshConnect coupons valued at $20 through their Veterans office to spend at the market. TaSH also partners with the Community Food Pantry of Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown to provide food tokens to pantry clients.

- Where: Patriots Park, Route 9 on the border of Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown. FREE parking at John Paulding School across the street.
- What: More than 30 vendor stalls selling food to eat on site and take home for your Memorial Day BBQ and more. Opening remarks from the TaSH team at 11:30 a.m.
- For Families: Bike Tarrytown Community Bike Swap. Families can bring bikes they’ve outgrown and swap for new ones, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. “What’s in Season,” an experiential booth where kids can taste, see and discover peak produce, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
- Music: Music Hall Academy students and “Duet Panda“ (Young Harpists) from Mozartina conservatory 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. ArtsLatinoNY ensemble, the student group of renowned musician Pablo Mayor, will perform a spicy mix of salsa, Colombian music, and Latin jazz, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The group features several students from the Union Free School District of the Tarrytowns.
