Tarrytown Talk to Cover "Tools and Tips for Simple Repairs by Seniors"

Tarrytown resident John Rosenblatt is the guest speaker at the next meeting of ITAV 10591 (It Takes A Village).


John Rosenblatt, a Tarrytown resident, will talk about “Tools and Tips for Simple Repairs by Seniors” at the Tuesday, March 8, 2016 meeting of ITAV 10591 in Tarrytown, beginning at 1 p.m. ITAV stands for “It Takes a Village." Admission is free.

Rosenblatt will also cover safety issues and preventive maintenance.

“Being a homeowner of an older home for the last 10 years has taught me a ton about plumbing and everyday repair as well,” Rosenblatt points out.

Rosenblatt is a cinematographer and has been a television industry producer for 20 years. He is the founder of Rosey Media, a full-service film production and digital services agency. He was nominated for a 2006 Primetime Emmy Award for Cinematography for work performed for the NBC Saturday Night Live comedy television show.

He has a BA in Cinema Studies and Psychology from Adelphi University and an MBA from the Graduate School of Business Administration at Fordham University with a Media Management major.

ITAV 10591 is a two-year-old organization that provides assistance to seniors who elect to stay in their homes.

Prospective new members are encouraged to attend.

Twelve-month membership application forms will be available at the meeting. The annual fee for membership is $25.

The March 8, 2016 meeting will be held at the Reformed Church of the Tarrytowns (located next to the Tarrytown post office), 42 North Broadway, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. call 917-597-1443.
