Happy Halloween!!!
Doesn't a bowl of hot chicken ginger chili sound good right now? Manhattan Chili Co. will be visiting us at the farmer's market this week. They use local ingredients for their critically-acclaimed chili. Grab some to take home and one to eat for lunch. Also, The Pickle Man is back with his giant pickles: full-sour, dill, hot and spicy, and even pickled tomatoes. Samosa Shack is also at the market tomorrow with their savory samosas jam-packed with vegetables from DoReMeFarm: potato and peas with cilantro, butternut squash with roasted corn, kale with smashed potato and cheese, Indian grilled cheese, and chicken pot pie.Buy a spatchcock chicken from Raghoo Farms to pop in the oven while your kids are out trick or treating or while you greet trick or treaters at the door. Make a hot and healthy butternut squash soup to feed the kids before they head out the door on their candy run. Red Barn Bakery also has cute Halloween decorated cookies and other yummy sweet and savory treats Also pumpkin brownies and blondies from Rich Brownies among their other multitude of flavors.
