Two-Car Accident, One Stolen License Plate: State Police
The incident occurred on I-87 near the Tappan Zee.

State police arrested a Bronx man Tuesday in Nyack following a two-car fender bender when troopers discovered that one of the drivers was in a car with a stolen license plate.
Julio C. Michel, 23, and another driver were in an accident at about 8 a.m. when Michel’s Nissan Altima rear-ended a Honda Accord as both were traveling northbound on I-87 near the Tappan Zee Bridge. The two drivers pulled into the Nyack Disabled Vehicle lot where state police found them.
State police found that Michel was in possession of a stolen North Carolina license plate, and he was operating an unregistered and uninsured vehicle. He was transported and processed at state police facility in Tarrytown, where he was charged with:

Michel was released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Greenburgh Court on Sept. 15 at 9:30 a.m.
