The Greenburgh Town Board has appointed Kimberly Gutwein as our new Comptroller replacing Roberta Romano who retired after 15 years of service as Comptroller (previously deputy comptroller) for the town.
Today is Kimberly Gutwein’s first day of work as our new Greenburgh Town Comptroller.
The Town Comptroller is one of the most important appointed jobs in our town. Kimberly will be responsible for overseeing on a daily basis the overall financial management of the town and the town operated districts. She assists town officials on formulation of fiscal policy, financial reporting to town management, external filings, general ledger accounting for all town operated funds and preparation of the town budget and capital budget. In the coming weeks the Town Board will be working on the 2024 capital budget. The office manages payroll and benefits for all employees, manages debt service administration, accounts payable, cash receipts processing and is a liaison with the town’s independent auditors.
Kimberly has excellent credentials for this job – serving as former Treasurer of the Village of Larchmont, the Chief Financial Officer for DCWWA in Poughkeepsie. She worked as controller/CFO for Brookfield Ct and was Commissioner of Finance for the City of Poughkeepsie.
