Vienna Boys Choir to Perform at the Tarrytown Music Hall
One-night appearance scheduled for Friday, December 12, 2014

The world-famous Vienna Boys Choir will perform at the 843-seat Tarrytown Music Hall at 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014 — two days before appearing at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The boys are from Austria and other countries and range in age from 10 to 14.
The choir dates back to 1498 when it was created by an order of Emperor Maximilian I of the House of Habsburg; through the years it has collaborated with many great composers and conductors including Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Franz Schubert was one of the choir’s members.
Its repertoire includes the work of Mozart, Schubert, Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, George Frideric Handel and Joseph Haydn. Its programs feature Austrian folk songs and waltzes, classical masterpieces, enduring pop songs, holiday favorites and even medieval chants.
