Weapon Charge for Sleepy Hollow Student, 17, over Taser

The stun gun was confiscated from the student by school officials on Oct. 15.

The 17-year-old Sleepy High School student who brought a Taser stun gun to school on Oct. 15 has been charged with fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon, according to police.

The Journal News reports that the female student was accompanied by her parents when she turned herself into police custody Tuesday. After processing she was released, and her name has not been disclosed.

No one was injured in the October incident, which is under investigation and was not reported to police until two weeks later.
