The Sleepy Hollow/Irvington Legends ice hockey team prepared for their playoff run. We took a look at some of the local restaurants participating in the Hudson Valley Restaurant Week. Our mom about town tackled the multitasking and play-date frenzy that comes with motherhood.

Some fairly violent offenders were in Sleepy Hollow Court – we covered some of the most egregious cases. The Legends fought hard to win their first playoff game, while our historian gave us our second edition of Notable Permanent Residents – the most famous folks buried in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.

Leona Beasley interviewed local artist Christina Blatt who shared some of her work with us. An off-duty Sleepy Hollow police officer was almost hit by a drunk driver, but managed to call in the offender to the Sleepy Hollow police who made an arrest. The Sleepy Hollow Board of Trustees approved a fire lane on Valley St. among other things at their weekly meeting. We also reported on a new group of service providers coming together to share resources and ideas in the villages.

We profiled some of the Tarrytown women who participate in Suburbia Roller Derby. We asked local residents about the ongoing construction work at the Tarrytown Metro-North Station. A large storm also came to the area, bringing up to 20 inches of snow.

Officials were warning residents to stay at home as the winter storm continued to batter the area, leaving thousands without power. We took a peek at some of the work of the Tarrytown Police Department and also previewed the Evolve Dance Festival.
Saturday and Sunday, February 27/28, 2010
Power returned for a majority of residents, but spot outages remained across both villages. We took a look at the best places to shop for your everyday needs, and at a new Phelps Hospital program designed to help employees through nursing school. The Legends ice hockey team was defeated by Rye, ending their successful season.
