Westchester Locations Featured in New Movie Thriller

TARRYTOWN, NY — Ever go to a movie and instantly recognize where it was shot.

Well, the new thriller “The Girl on the Train,” which opens October 7 contains location scenes from around Westchester.

According to the Journal News, several of the exterior locations are from Tarrytown, Irvington, Hastings-on-Hudson, Dobbs Ferry, Ardsley and White Plains.

“The Girl on the Train,” according to imdb.com, the story of a divorced woman who becomes involved in a missing persons investigation.

The movie stars Emily Blunt, Haley Bennett, Justin Theroux, Laura Prepon and Allison Janney, among others.
