Woodlands Scholarship Fund supported by former scholarship recipient

A town employee who received the scholarship when she was a student is giving back Please attend scholarship flea market this Saturday

Maliha Walthal is an inspiration. She’s an exceptional employee in the Greenburgh tax office. In 2018 Maliha received a scholarship from the Woodlands High School Scholarship Fund. That scholarship changed her life but it is also changing the lives of many other young people. Maliha is determined to help others. She chose to help raise funds for the very scholarship that once opened doors for her. Her journey is a testament to the power of education but it is also a testament to the ripple effect of generosity. Through her efforts Maliha wants to enable others to also pursue their dreams.

On Saturday between 10 AM to 5 PM please attend the Woodlands High School Scholarship Fund flea market at Richard Presser Park (Webb field). IF you see Maliha please thank her for giving back and being a role model for those who receive scholarships and who are pursuing careers in government. We need more people in the world like Maliha. THANK YOU.

“My name is Maliha Walthall and I am a board member of The Woodlands High School Scholarship Fund!! We are holding its annual Flea Market on Saturday, May 4th, 2024 from 10 AM- 5 PM at Richard Presser Park (Webb Field) located at 218 North Central Avenue, Hartsdale. As a 2018 graduate of Woodlands High School and a WHSSF recipient, I feel it is insurmountable to give back to the community that supported me through my educational and personal endeavors. The foundation that Greenburgh has set for me to be successful in life has impacted and shaped my future in the most positive way. It’s a pleasure to now work alongside the board members that gave me my scholarship. Opportunities like the Woodlands High School Scholarship Fund help give a leg up to students who have a bright future and strive to make positive changes inside Greenburgh and beyond.

The passion and intrigue of the students are so motivating to maintain the existence of the fund and other programs alike. Without our support, these students could miss the opportunity of potential greatness. They have passions for working in the medical field to save lives, in software engineering to enhance technology, and in the business sector to lead great companies. Their minds are beautifully endless. To turn our back to such great potential is a crime. The future is in the hands of the youth, now is the time to support them. Hopefully, in the future, I'll have more opportunities to help Greenburgh residents in various ways. But for now, please join us on Saturday at Presser Park/Webb Field to demonstrate our support for the beautiful people of Greenburgh!! “
