– Mix of light rain and sleet begins between 3pm and 7pm
– Steady mix of sleet/snow/rain likely around sunset
– Period of moderate/heavy precipitation between 10pm and 4am
– Steady Wintry mix becomes scattered by Tuesday morning
– Scattered periods of Wintry Mix taper around noon Tuesday

"To simplify, areas near and north of I-84 should be prepared for the potential for snowy/icy travel after dark tonight, said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. "Conditions will be at their worst as we approach midnight, when the heaviest precipitation is expected. Moderate to heavy snow/sleet is possible, and travel could become treacherous. We expect things to taper off toward morning, but scattered precipitation will linger through Tuesday morning."
