1 Of 2 Winning Powerball Tickets Worth $100K Sold On Long Island: NY Lottery
The jackpot climbs to an estimated $572 million for Saturday's drawing, lottery officials said.
SOUTH SETAUKET, NY — Two 3rd-prize winning Power Play tickets worth $100,000 for Wednesday's Powerball drawing were purchased in New York — one in South Setauket, the other in Newburgh, while the jackpot climbs to an estimated $572 million, officials said.
The prize-winning tickets were purchased at Stop & Shop at 250 Pond Path, and Smokes 4 Less in Newburgh.
The tickets, which each have four matching numbers, and the Powerball, are: 9-17-20-38-40, and the Powerball is 18. The Power Play multiplier on Wednesday was two, meaning the 3rd place prize, which does not include the jackpot, has doubled to $100,000.

The winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69, and the Powerball number is drawn from a separate field one to of 26. The Powerball drawing is televised every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 11 p.m.
