STONY BROOK, NY — A Stony Brook University student was arrested after possessing and selling drugs from his dorm room on campus, police said.
According to Suffolk County police, after an investigation by narcotics section detectives and SUNY Stony Brook State Police, a search warrant was executed Monday at 12:04 p.m. in the Circle Drive dorm room of William Turri, 20.
During the search, officers recovered methamphetamines, ketamine, and items used for drug sales, police said.
Turri, originally of Fairport, NY, was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance; third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance; seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance; fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance; and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, police said.
Turri was scheduled to be held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Tuesday, police said.
