STONY BROOK, NY — Two unleashed dogs bit a 74-year-old woman on the legs at a park in Stony Brook, Suffolk police said.
It unfolded at around 2 p.m. at Strathmore Park, and the woman was taken by Setauket Rescue to Stony Brook University Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
A report of the incident and records for the dogs, which are owned by a Stony Brook resident, were sent to the Town of Brookhaven, the county's Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and its Department of Health Services, police said.
