Mirabelle Restaurant Presents The New Belle Lounge

The four-star Mirabelle Restaurant at Three Village Inn (150 Main Street, Stony Brook, NY (631) 751-0555 www.threevillageinn.com) announced the opening of the new Belle Lounge, an intimate champagne wine bar.  Located just off the main dining room, Belle Lounge offers a serene setting for meeting friends and family and enjoying champagne, wine or cocktails as a prelude to dinner.

The upscale, yet unpretentious, décor found in Mirabelle Restaurant is extended into the Belle Lounge.  Soft lighting and candlelight illuminates the rose-colored wallpaper and light beige-painted ceilings with shades to match a large, beautiful rug.  A chandelier made from an old wine barrel and elegant white crown molding adds warmth to the atmosphere.  New to the room is the custom designed bar, which seats up to six guests, a comfortable and stylish sitting area for four, and a leather bench for seating in front of the fireplace.  During the winter, the fireplace is ablaze and serves as the lounge’s focal point.  In the summer, Belle Lounge will open onto the front terrace of Three Village Inn and entrance of Mirabelle, where guests may enjoy drinks al fresco.

Award-winning Chef Guy Reuge has designed a small plates menu for Belle Lounge that is comprised of seasonal hors d’oeuvres and will change daily.  Selections, priced at $5 each, may include: short rib ricotta ravioli, Serrano ham with fig compote, Panisses and Espelette mayonnaise, and Merguez sausage with eggplant.  Mirabelle’s charcuterie plate and cheese plate are also available upon request.

Kir Royale Italiano is the featured champagne cocktail with Prosecco, orange liqueur, lemon bitters.  Among the beverage selections are international, national and Long Island wines by the glass with choices of whites, reds, rose, desserts and sparkling.  The list, which will change monthly, now includes but is not limited to:

Gavi: Massera – Piedmont 2010 (Italy) $9.50
Chardonnay: Pouilly Fuisse – Vendanges Manuelles – Auvique 2009 (France) $15
Garnacha: Vega Sindoa – Navarra 2009 (Spain) $9.50
