- Artoberfest is coming to Setauket! Preservation Long Island and Long Island Museum will host a festive afternoon featuring food, music, arts and crafts at the Sherwood-Jayne Farm at 55 Old Post Road, East Setauket. The event kicks off on Saturday, Oct. 22, starting at noon. Tickets can be purchased here. (TBR News Media)
- Emma Clark Library is hosting a virtual tour through the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam! Historian Jay Schuck will present the museum's galleries and teach about the famous painter's contemporary art. The program starts at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19. (Emma Clark Library)
- The teenager struck in a hit-and-run in Coram early this month has died from his injuries. He was hit while walking with his sister on Granny Road. Both siblings were taken to Stony Brook University to be treated. Police continue investigating the case and looking for the driver responsible for the crash. (TBR News Media)

- Three Village Historical Society hosts the 28th annual Spirits Tour on Saturday, Oct. 22. Tickets are on sale for the tours that will take participants to historic locations in Setauket. For details, visit the Historical Society website here and reserve tickets today. (TBR News Media)
- NYS Assemblyman Steven Englebright (D—East Setauket), first assuming office in 1992, will look to fend off Republican challenger Edward Flood on Nov. 8 for the State Assembly 4th District. Englebright has been an assemblyman for 30 years. (Patch)
- Three Village Historical Society calls volunteers to assist in the 28th annual Spirits Tour. Teenagers are welcome to join the event serving the community as crossing guards during the event in exchange for school credit/or community service hours.
