BMW Crashes Into Fuel Truck On Long Island

The woman driving the BMW needed to be freed from the SUV by firefighters Thursday morning.

SELDEN, NY – A woman was injured after her SUV collided with a fuel truck in Suffolk County Thursday morning, police said.

According to Suffolk Police, the 48-year-old woman was driving a BMW north on Nicolls Road, at the entrance to Suffolk County Community College, in Selden when she lost control of her vehicle and struck the rear of a truck owned by OK Petroleum at about 9:40 a.m.

The front of the BMW went under the truck. Emergency Service Section officers and members of the Selden Fire Department extricated the driver from the car. The Oakdale woman, who police did not name, was transported with non-life threatening injuries to Stony Brook University Hospital.
