Celebrating a National Day of Writing
Students of R.C. Murphy Junior H.S. and Ward Melville H.S. participated in the celebration of National Day of Writing.
From Three Village Central School District: R.C. Murphy Junior High School and Ward Melville High School and staff students in the Three Village Central School District recently celebrated the craft of writing by taking part in various activities centered on the celebration of the National Day of Writing.
At Murphy, students reflected upon what inspires them – both as writers and individuals. They created original poems and short pieces to visually depict their inspiration.
Ward Melville students’ pieces focused on the theme of peace and drew inspiration from a famous quote by Martin Luther King Jr. Students noted how they find internal peace and the hopes they have for global peace.
