Cultivating Kindness at Three Village Schools

Inspirational speaker and founder of the ReesSpecht Life foundation Richard Specht recently spoke with elementary school students.

Inspirational speaker and founder of the ReesSpecht Life foundation Richard Specht recently spoke with the students at Minnesauke and Arrowhead elementary schools about a superpower each of them have – the ability to cultivate kindness through even the smalls acts.

Specht recounted how the acts of kindness his family received in the wake of tragedy, has grown into a worldwide movement dedicated to the memory of his son whose nickname was Rees. In addition to sharing a piece of his original book “A Little Rees Specht Cultivates Kindness,” Mr. Specht wove in an unique and scientific explanation on how the ability to change the worlds is something that all can achieve, provided they have the right perspective. At the end of the program, the students were challenged to go out and make the world a better place and received Pay it Forward/Seeds of Kindness cards to help keep the kindness movement going.
