Driver Hurt After Crashing Into Wood Retaining Wall

Firefighters needed to cut the driver from the car after the Suffolk County crash late Saturday night.

SETAUKET, NY – A driver was injured after a car slammed into a wood retaining wall in Setauket late Saturday night.

The single-car crash occurred at the intersection of Main Street and Old Coach Road just before midnight.

The driver, who needed to be cut free from the car by Setauket firefighters, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital.

Suffolk Police said the driver was not seriously injured, but they provided no other details on the crash
