Elementary Students Participate In Soup-er Bowl Of Caring

From Three Village Schools: Elementary schools across the Three Village Central School District recently took part in a spirited Soup-er Bowl of Caring competition that supported the Blessings in a Backpack, a charity that sends meals home to school-age children in need of food during weekends while not able to receive lunch at school.

During the course of a week, students and staff donated cans and packages of soup, each working to be the building that collected the greatest number of donations. Together all five schools collected 7,500 donations and Nassakeag was crowned the competition winner, having collected 3,215 items alone. As the winning school, Nassakeag was awarded a “soup-er” trophy which they will display in the lobby of the building.
