The sesquicentennial of the American Civil War is upon us. In recognition of this anniversary, lecturer, Richard Meyer, will present an overview of the bloodiest battle of that war. Included will be a discussion of some of the historical myths and controversies surrounding the battle. This will be followed by a look at today's Gettysburg battlefield and how to get the most out of a visit to this very special place in American history. Included will be some information on local restaurants and hotels. Registration starts October 17th.
