Synopsis: Max (Elden Henson) has flunked the seventh grade twice. Kevin (Kieran Culkin) is extremely intelligent, but can only walk with braces and crutches. They form a bond of friendship and share their similar stories of abandonment and humiliation; and yet they find meaning, fulfillment, and even happiness in their lives. We experience their pain and their joy, and relearn some of Judaism’s most important teachings.
