A fire caused extensive damage at a Port Jefferson Station home Monday morning.
The Terryville Fire Department was alerted to the fire on Clematis Street at about 4 a.m. Upon arrival, chiefs were met with heavy fire showing from the front of the home. Assistance was called in from Port Jefferson, Mount Sinai, Setauket and Selden fire departments. The occupants of the home were able to make it out safely with no injuries.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by Brookhaven Town fire marshals.
