Fire Rips Through Centereach Carpet Store
BREAKING: Middle Country Road has been closed in both directions near the scene of the massive blaze.
CENTEREACH, NY – Several fire departments were on the scene of a massive fire at a Centereach carpet store Thursday morning.
The fire started around 7 a.m. at Carpet Your World located at 2611 Middle Country Road.
Photos and video from the scene show the building completely engulfed in flames and thick black smoke billowing into the sky. No injuries have been reported.

Middle Country Road is closed in both directions between Hawkins Avenue and Hammond Lane. The road isn't likely to reopen for about three hours, authorities say.
