Gelinas Play Focusing on Bullying Set For Oct. 29
"Pickin': A Bullying Story" will debut later this month.

This year’s annual adolescent issue play at P.J. Gelinas Junior High School will debut on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. and will focus on the topic of bullying.
The show, “Pickin’: A Bullying Story,” details the topic from several angles and perspectives: the bullies, the bullied and those who witness the behavior. Audiences will follow the life of a student who is bullied by peers and the tragic repercussions that can ensue.
This is the 12th year the school has produced a show focused on a topic prevalent in the lives of today’s adolescents.

A preview of the play will be held for students during the day and community members are invited to attend the free evening performance on Oct. 29. Due to the nature of the topic, attendees should be in at least the sixth grade and be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
