STONY BROOK, NY — The 50th Anniversary of Long Island's own Blue Öyster Cult's classic rock song, "(Don't) Fear the Reaper," will be celebrated in a special event at the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame in Stony Brook on May 30.
The 1976 single was released in the band's album, "Agents of Fortune."
The iconic tune has been featured in movies and television shows over the years. It is not only known for its dark lyrics, but also the unique instrumentals that make it recognizable to this day.
